And Justice For All.

"What surprises me, I guess, is how choosy the anti-P.C. crowd is about which hate speech it will not tolerate." Read more here

  1. jimmy--you sure know how to get me all fired up ;-)

I agree that there's no need for hate speech, but it's the 'anti-P.C.' people who tend to get punished.

This guy acts as if his gay friends are innocent. The gays tend to target and blast organized religion (our friend Rosie O'Donnell and Elton John), but do they get punished? No. They get to parade around trashing right wingers and the current administration. They might get a slap on the wrist but that's it.

As a mormon I was a target growing up. I was ridiculed and outcasted; I have to say it made me stronger. Today people stand outside Temple Square and shout false accusations and condemn us to hell; they also print innacurate materials about us......where's the outrage from the community? There isn't much. Mormons have been in the limelight more recently due to Mitt Romney. Have you seen the polls that show large percentages of people who will NOT vote for him just because he's Mormon? Hmmm, isn't that intolerant?

  2. Agency creates a whole slew of problems, doesn't it? It is a good question, though, how activists decide when to take serious offense to things. And who stays awake at night deciding which stars get the entertainment news spotlight? Like why does Paris Hilton get so much attention?

I'm just glad that "The Simpsons" have managed to stay on the country's good side. I think it's good and healthy for everything to be satirized.

  3. That's an interesting article, and to be honest Kirsten, even if it's true that some well known gay celebritites attack organised religion, it hardly makes his point less true. He's right in his basic point, that we need to listen for all intolerance and not just hear it when it happens to be a group we relate to or like that's being attacked.

And you really don't have to work very hard to trash the current administration. Criticism isn't always intolerance. Sometimes it's just criticism.
