NY and the Stone Age

I think I have come up with a brilliant idea. I'm going to find the NY
State Department of Transportation, and introduce them to this great
idea.

They're called "storm sewers". I can't believe in this day and age, that
any municipality in the United States could have water service so
absolutely archaic. With the kind of taxes NY steals from its citizens,
water problems like today are an embarrassment. We're sitting in the
lush town of East Hills, and we are averaging about a half mile an hour
because every road within 5 miles is flooded shut. I think Fred
Flintstone is mayor of this awesome community.

What a shame. Just shows how stupid and inept the government is at every
level.

That kind of thing can be so frustrating. Chicago is pretty good about maintaining such things, in my experience. Of course, there are other things that sorely need Daley's intervention, but all in all its not too bad here.

  2. Oh I know...I've actually been just blocks away from my destination (where you were) and could NOT get there...had to turn around and go home.
    Just terrible.

All you need to do at this point is pack up one of those self inflating rafts. Next time you come across the storm of the century, just float down the road. You always wanted to take a cruise right?

    Hi Jimmy,
How frustrating. I hope your local politicians are flooded with complaints!
