Learning...NOT

When they have movies about disasters, earthquakes, tidal waves and such, part of the thrill comes from watching that one guy who is standing and facing imminent death, but at the last minute, somehow dodges the bullet.

I'm getting tired of living like that.

I don't know why I don't learn, but I don't. I do the same thing every time.

Tomorrow I have upward of twelve people coming to dinner, a twice-postponed Christmas celebration. And as usual, I'm about 5% prepared.

So as usual, I will be out at the stores, cursing them for what's sure to be inventory shortfalls consisting of only the items I need, and trying to get back here in time to sort it all out. My youngest daughter has basketball in the morning at 8:30, so that's my way of guaranteeing that I'll be awake, up and running.

But...that lava flow is coming awfully close...

RUN!

  3. Oh no, no do not jinx me by letting me read someone else waits till the last minute. I get to have the family Christmas get together this year at my home, upwards of 20 or more people. I have till Nov. to sort this out. If I follow your example I'm doomed (winks). (Hugs) Indigo

Can you have everyone bring a dish? That way you will just need to supply the main course. Go buy a few rotisserie chickens at the market and call it a day! Hey, there's always pizza delivery! lol ~Jill

    Hi Jimmy,
I know the feeling ... why does it always seem like things creep up on us at the last minute ...?!?
    Best,

  14. LOL. Hope it was all worth it. After watching me in action a couple of times, my grandma mailed me a 3 page document once on how to throw a stress free dinner party. I guess there's a reason people call her "elegant" and me "intense" :D

  15. hahaha I love how you put that together.

It's kinda late for a Christmas party, isn't it? It's ok I'm sure you've been bust running from lava and earth quakes and all that good stuff.
