Steeeee-rike THREE!!!!!!!!

Oh man.

I am not a baseball expert. I am a fan with limited knowledge of the game.

But I do know this. I was taught it as a kid in Little League, I learned it as a fan growing up.
YOU DO NOT STRIKE OUT "LOOKING" IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 9TH, BASES LOADED, 2 OUT, LAST GASP AT-BAT.
Go down swinging. You can NOT drive in a single run looking at a strike.
GO DOWN SWINGING!
Yeah, I'm a Met fan, and the Mets lost the NLCS on a strike-out in the bottom of the 9th inning, down to their last out, 2-strike count.
I'd have been better with it if Carlos Beltran had gone down swinging.
I'm gonna go to bed now.

  3. Well, although I'm NOT a met fan, I will say I'm sorry.

I know what it's like to have your team (no matter how big of a fan you are or not) Totally bomb.

The yankees did it to me and I was thoroughly pissed. They DOMINATED and then DIED ... I'm so glad Joe Torres going to be gone next year! I know it wasn't only his fault. A-rod was a pompous ASS. But as a manager, he has a responsibilty to do his JOB If a pitcher sucks, get others warming UP. Don't just sit there looking PISSED DO SOMETHING!

I take baseball very seriously lol My grandpa was the reason for that

  4. Ouch that does suck in a game, lol. I'm not a huge baseball fan, I'm much more into football but then you know that already, lol. Brandy

Sometimes a certain pitch will freeze a batter. By the time he gets "unfrozen" the pitch is in the mitt. If he swings then, he will never live that down. It was an awesome "come-back" pitch. At least the game didn't end by a grounder going through Buckner's legs this time. ;)

  6. I know how you feel, Jimmy. The Yankees did great this year, then couldn't pull through at the end.
I think they fell apart as a team, too bad for both NY teams, It would have been a great if they both made it to the World Series~

When Carlos Beltran came to the plate for that last out of that game i started watching that game thru my fingers! Do you know that they called him the Cardinal Killer? I couldnt stand it. I just knew he was going to hit a ball right out of the park to throw it into extra innings. But when he just watched that ball go right by him i couldnt believe it. Neither could Shea Stadium. Total silence. Cept of course my Cardinals jumping and celebrating all over the field. It was sad to see that father and child in the stands crying. I know how they felt. My Cardinals had gone to the playoffs for so many years only to screw it up at the end. Its our turn to celebrate. Sorry about your Mets..
